The exciter is THYRIPART-excited. The excitation equipment and the thyristor voltage controller are combined in the THYRIPART excitation system. The filed current required is supplied by the main machine via the excitation system.

The voltage controller 6GA2492 comprises the voltage regulator 6GA2491 and the power module.
